Improve Your Eyesight by Playing Games
I just read a news report on Fox News.com about a study that was just done with 10 mail college students by the University of Rochester.
They tested shooter games such as Gears of War, Halo, and Lost Planet. What they found was that the non-gamers who were given 30 hours of training on the games showed improved vision. They were able to see objects accurately even in a crowded space on the screen. As stated by the lead of the study “These games push the human visual system to the limits, and the brain adapts to it,” she said in a prepared statement. That learning carries over into other activities and possibly everyday life.”
They even suggested that playing these types of video games could be helpful for people undergoing any sort of eye rehabilitation therary. They even mention that in another study, other types of video games have been found to improve walking in stroke victims.
