Originally founded back in the 1990’s Epic Games has made quite a name for itself among the gaming community.
In 1998 Epic got things really kicking when it released a 3D first person shooter game Unreal. This subsequently developed into a series which is still going strong.
Over the years they have acquired a total of 3 game engines. These engines can be used by game developers who do not wish to code an engine from scratch thereby helping along the game development process.
Currently located in Cary North Carolina, when visiting the site you can clearly see their want for expansion.
