This position is exactly as it states, it is a game tester position. Typical requirements for this job are:

This position is good for anyone interested in playing video games and getting paid to do it. It usually requires 0 year of experience. This is an entry – level position.
Game Test Lead
This position is just under a manager. It is a supervisory position. Typical requirements are:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Hands-on computer experience
- Good investigative skills
Typical job duties:
- Assist testers with any issues they come across while working.
- Supervise the game testing staff
- Report to the manager with daily progress
This type of position is suited for someone with 0-2 year of game testing experience.
Game Tester, Quality Assurance
In this particular position you focus on the quality of the game. The typical requirements are as follows:
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Sharp attention to detail
- Highly analytical
Typical job duties include:
- Identify and isolate issues
- Report and Track issues
- Undertake research, including competitive analysis
This type of position is best suited for someone with 3-5 years of game testing experience. Most employers also ask for a degree of some sort.
Game Test Manager
This position is the highest attainable in the game testing world. Typical requirements for this position include:
- Game testing experience
- Supervisory experience
- Experience developing and carrying out test programs
Typical duties include:
- Ensure that each game test adheres to certain regulations
- Manage every aspect of the testing process
- Develop new testing methods
- Supervise the entire testing department
This type of position should only be considered by game testers with at least 5+ years of testing experience. Supervisory experience is always a plus as well.
