The Video Game Culture
I just watched this absolutely kick ass video on youtube.com. To date, this is the most informative, in-depth information I have seen on the world of video games & our culture. To see the entire video, click here now.
This particular video gets up close with video game testers and marketers. It shows the facts about being a video game tester. When you test games, you are basically playing a broken product, not the final product. It’s work, but if you are a true gamer, you’ll love it. You are responsible for nailing down all the problems with the game. In essence the tester is preserving the real video game experience.
The video also went into detail about our “video game culture” and the fact that video games are as popular as rock music was 20 or 30 years ago. The statistics are astounding.
What I found most interesting was how the marketing department feels about parents. I know on my site I get a lot of kids who have trouble with their parents when it comes to shelling out cash for games (or anything else kids find fun). In the video they discuss the tactic of “bugging your parents”. If you bug them enough, they finally just give in because they don’t want to hear it anymore. They even showed interviews with a few kids asking them what they specifically do to get their parents to buy them games.
Well seeing is believing for a lot of people. That’s why I think it’s so important that anyone interested in testing video games check out this video. It clearly proves to all of those parents and other non-gamers that getting paid for gaming is as legit as any other job out there!
So if you’re a die-hard gamer & interested in doing something that you love then you need to check out my site Game-Testers.com right now. I’ll show you how to get into game testing legitimately.
