Test For PlayFirst
PlayFirst was founded back in 2004 and currently staffs 90 people. Located in San Francisco, they are currently looking for a QA Engineer. This is a fancy title for a QA tester.
The games they create vary and include titles such as Wedding Dash, Diner Dash, and Dream Chronicles amongst others.
The requirements for this position are as follows:
* 2+ years of QA experience; preferably within an interactive entertainment medium (PC/Mac, console, handheld, online, etc)
* Game testing experience.
* Ability to develop test cases and test plans.
* Working knowledge of overall QA and software development process.
* Careful observer, patient, attentive to details, natural problem solver.
* Familiarity with bug tracking systems and processes.
* Ability to submit detailed bug reports, regress bugs, and verify bug fixes.
* Able to work overtime when required on a project by project basis.
* Honesty, punctuality, and a high level of personal commitment to work and quality.
* Must possess excellent spoken and written communication skills and be able to work with varied staff members and personalities. Communicates with a high degree of understanding, conciseness, and directness.
* Actively communicates a positive, outgoing approach to quality assurance. Able to give and accept positive as well as negative feedback.
* Self starter that needs little or no direction, and has a demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, multi-task and meet deadlines.
* High school diploma or GED required; college degree strongly preferred.
* Eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
