Online Game Testing Position
So there is an opening for an online games tester. You would be responsible for testing web site derived games.
This job is thru Volt, one of the largest temporary staffing agencies for gaming out there today.
Your duties will include:
* Testing the games site; including testing of XML schemas, transforms and rendering.
* Testing casual PC games (online, download, subscription, sponsored, etc.)
* Creating test plans and test cases.
* Designing and implementing test automation scripts for the Company’s networked games, OS games, games for messaging service and other gaming sites/services.
* Testing new and updated site production tools; contributes to tools refinement.
* Working with other Test Teams to define and communicate testing best practices.
An ideal applicant will have these requirements:
* Web site testing experience - includes testing of sites built with HTML, ASP.NET, XML, DHTML, AJAX, scripting languages.
* Solid knowledge of software quality assurance practices.
* A thorough understanding of testing methodologies and processes and has excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
* Demonstrated strong communication and project management skills.
* The ability to thrive in a highly collaborative online environment while taking initiative in that context.
* A BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree/experience.
