Looking For Your Next Step In Game Testing?
Ok so you’ve gotten some experience in testing. Whether it be unpaid volunteer testing or paid entry level testing. So now you’re probably thinking what’s next? That’s a simple answer. The next step is moving up into the higher paying game testing positions and they are out there.
Blue Fang is currently hiring for a “Test Engineer”. The position is full time and is based out of MA.
Here are the responsibilities:
* Designing, creating, and maintaining an automated testing solution for PC, Wii, and other consoles
* Creating and maintaining automated test scripts
* Assisting the Test Lead in automating the collection of daily performance statistics
* Designing and creating tools that will help the QA team in their daily testing
Then of course there are the requirements which you must pay close attention to:
* Minimum of 2-3 years QA experience
* Working knowledge in C++, Lua script, and/or C#
* Experience with functional test automation methodologies
* Working knowledge of MS Excel and SQL
* Familiarity with XML
* Must be detail oriented
* Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
This is clearly NOT an entry level position, this is a position for a tester with experience and knowledge of C++.
