Game Tester for Consoles
As you know there are all types of game testing jobs. Test games for the PC, test games for consoles like XBox 360, PS3, etc.
This particular game job is testing games in consoles. Which is just what many gamers are looking for.
This particular job was originally posted back in July, but it looks like either they didn’t have much luck filling it, or the person in the position is no longer there. Either way, it’s a good opportunity for another gamer to step up and take the reigns.
The requirements for this job are pretty basic & common:
* Must have game testing experience.
* Familiarity with one or more of the leading game consoles
* Basic knowledge of PC hardware and software including networking and Microsoft Office; extensive knowledge is a plus.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, clear writing as well as good spelling and grammar.
* Good bug writing skills with the desire to improve bug-writing and bug-finding on both verbal and written levels.
* Adaptable with the ability to switch between individual and team-based approaches as needed.
* Detail-oriented as well as able and willing to follow directions.
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Enthusiastic about being part of a growing team and learning new skills.
* Willing and available to work required overtime, including night and weekend hours as needed to support project requirements.
Now when companies ask for game testing experience, remember that experience does not have to be “paid” experience. Therefore if you have tested any game, even if it was a volunteer testing position or you tested something online for free you CAN put that experience on your resume and be considered for this position.
