Become a QA Tester for Trion World Network
Trion World Network established in early 2006 and founded by Dr. Lars Butler and Jon Van Caneghem. Their mission “To define games and entertainment for the connected era by leveraging the power of globally pervasive broadband to reach worldwide audiences.”
Since Dr. Butler was VP for Global Online at EA, he knows what works and what doesn’t.
Trion currently has offices in Redwood Shores, San Diego and Austin.
With their first title being hed by famed developer of Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic, this new game is sure to please.
They are currently hiring a QA Tester with a strong interest in PC and console games including Massive Multi-Player online games.
Responsibilities include:
* Perform black box testing of Trion’s games
* Report any bugs in the application(s) being tested
* Provide clear concise data for bug reports
* Document and maintain bug reports and testing procedures
* Conduct other test duties as assigned
The requirements are pretty basic and include:
* 1-2 years prior QA experience in a hands-on position in another game company
* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and an understanding of QA testing processes
* Able to proactively analyze, identify, and resolve problems effectively
* Ability to identify issues with game art
* Knowledge of mobile technology a plus
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* A collaborative, upbeat work ethic that allows you to take ownership of issues and have fun with your work
* Professional manner and able to work in a fast paced, high-pressure, team environment
* Conscientious hard working individual, reliable, self-motivated, and considered a team player
* Must be responsible and accountable while working on multiple complex projects
* Enthusiastic and outgoing, and possessing a positive attitude about the potential of this company
* Must be able to understand and work with constructive criticism
* Expert player in various game genres
* Must be flexible on work hours, though the majority of the work will be done between 9:00 and 6:00
* Must be 18 years of age
