Advanced Game Position with Slipgate Ironworks
Slipgate Ironworks formed in 2005 and now working on a new MMO game. The company was founded by the notorious game designer John Romero. You might be familiar with Romer’s work in Quake. Located in San Francisco they currently employ 250 gamers. Their team consists of experienced gamers from Blizzard, EA and Rockstar just to name a few.
They are on a hiring frenzy right now and have several positions posted on their site here.
One position in particular peaked my interest and I thought it would be a great one to share. It’s a contract position which means there is a good chance you can work your own hours and possibly work remotely. They don’t specify that but most times when contract positions are posted, you have a really good chance of being able to work from home.
This position is a lead position and requires extensive experience. So please do not apply if you do not meet these minimum requirements:
* Web site testing rockstar! Very high attention to detail.
* Minimum 5 years experience testing web sites and web applications
* Strong organization and skills to manage bug lists
* Excellent communication
* Experience working in an Agile / Scrum Development Team
* Experience automating Web Application Testing using Selenium
* Experience using bug tracking tool like Test Track Pro
