$10 Per Hour Game Testing Job
Anyone who has been a member of my site for any period of time knows that Volt is one of the biggest staffing agencies for several major game developers.
They are currently looking for gamers to work in Austin Texas testing MMORPG’s. That is “Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games”. If you don’t know what those games are, then you probably shouldn’t apply. But I’ve also included a link to those types of games here.
This is a 40 hour work week with pay being offered at $10 per hour.
The requirements are:
* Strong familiarity with MMO and MMORPG products (Everquest, Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft, etc.)
* Should have (software) QA/Testing experience and familiar with online gaming.
* Preferred experience in PS3 adventure/action games and have an avid comic book background
* Ability to communicate effectively (focused written and oral communication skills).
* Sufficient technical skills to work on a PC (update drivers, etc).
* Must be able to work at least a 40 hour work week. Hours are generally 9-6, or 10-7.
They also state the following important piece of info:
* We recognize that your resume may show little game testing experience. In your email submittal/application, please include a cover letter detailing your gaming background, including titles played (especially MMO and MMORPG games), beta testing, favorite genres, etc. ** Please include this in the email text NOT as a separate attachment since multiple attachments will not come through. You can also include this information at the bottom of your resume if you wish.
