The Agency-Be a Spy
The Agency is an online multiplayer action game. It is being developed by SOE Seattle and published by Sony Online Entertainment. SOE Seattle is a branch of Microsoft. The game will release in the first quarter of 2009.
The player gets to be a James Bond like character in this game. The player takes on the role of an elite spy belonging to U.N.I.T.E. that is the United Nations Intelligence and Tactical Experts.
This agency counters terrorism with the help of its deadly spies and never before seen hi-tech weapons. They are fighting against ParaGon or Paramilitary Global Operations Network which is responsible for carrying out terrorist attacks all over the world. The player will have to be shrewd enough to survive in a world of espionage and treachery. However, with hi-fi gadgets and excellent combat skills to help him out, he can complete his mission.
The players can form their own agencies as the game progresses and they achieve a higher rank. Since this game is an online multiplayer game, the player can recruit other players in his agency. You can also create Joint Agencies in collaboration with other players. Since there are two factions: UNITE and ParaGon; players can be a part of any one of them. It is up to you if you choose to be good or evil.
Operatives are characters, which will not play in the game but will help you in the game by providing goods and services required from time to time. Operatives provide 24×7 support to the spies so that they can concentrate on their mission. They keep the spies updated on the happenings even when they are offline.
Rookies as well as seasoned players can take on their opponents by engaging in gunfights or head-to-head combat. The missions are set in exotic locations all over the world, much like a James Bond movie. There are casinos and lots of swanky vehicles.
