Terminator Salvation-The Game
Terminator Salvation was just released on May 19th for the XBox 360, PS3, PC, and mobile phones. It’s developed by the Halcyon Company’s gaming subsidiary, named Halcyon Games along with GRIN and is being published by Equity Games and Evolved Games. This game was first announced in November of 2007 along with the announcement of the formation of the Halcyon Games. By the time it was announced it had already been in development for several months. And the CEO of the company announced that Halcyon has decided to develop the game on its own without outsourcing it to another studio.
Terminator Salvation is a third person shooter action game. In a third person game the player can see the avatar on-screen. This game is set in the year 2016 in the City of Los Angeles. It is actually an interquel that happens between the events of Terminator 3 and Terminator Salvation. The player in the game assumes the control of John Connor.
While playing Terminator Salvation the player needs to continuously move, flank, cover and utilize his squad to progress. The player has to battle the superior forces of Skynet and its deadly terminators. The player can use the environment and the objects to cover up as the T-600 and T-7T relentlessly shoot at him and his squad from all the directions and also from the Aerostat that bombs from the skies. There are also some new enemies specifically designed for this game.
The game features a campaign that can be played both alone and with one other local player via split screen. Originally a Multiplayer Mode was planned it was dropped to keep the game release on schedule. Now what the player can do is either play alone or with a local player who will be visible via split screen.
It’s received fairly good reviews to date, so if this is the sort of game you’re into you should enjoy it.
