Science Fiction Is At Its Best in Dark Void
Dark Void is a science fiction game ready to hit the market on June 30, 2009. It is being published by Capcom and developed by Airtight Games. Capcom is a well-known name in the video game entertainment industry.
This is a single player game. The play is set in a completely new universe called the “Void”. The player assumes the role of a pilot named Will who while flying a cargo plane crashes into the Bermuda Triangle and gets trapped in the “Void”.
Now he has to fight against all odds to survive. There are others like Will who have been trapped in the “Void”. They are called “The Survivors” who now look up to Will as their leader. These fighters are also protecting the Earth from an alien take over.
The developers have done a great job with the camera angles, since the players can attack the enemies both from above and below thus making the game play even more intense. The game involves both foot and aerial combat. The air combat takes place at stunning speeds and is deadly. Players can make use of rocket packs to kill their enemies. These rocket packs are also upgradable thus allowing the players to fly higher up in the sky.
The gripping action is simply amazing. For example if a player falls off a cliff or something, he can dangle from the cliff by gripping on with one of his hands. So in order to regain his grip the player will have to hit a specific button. It may sound easy while reading, but to actually perform these motions quickly is very difficult and challenging during actual game play.
In addition, the player is able to grab the enemies by their feet and throw them off the mountains. Moreover, the grip system allows for easier climbing of mountains.
The game has about an estimated 15 hours of play. That is just an estimate, obviously the game has yet to be released. It is a third person shooter game and only one player can play it at a time.
