Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is an innovative game published by CDV Software Entertainment and developed by Ascaron Entertainment. This game is scheduled for a release in the 3rd quarter (July/Aug/Sept) of 2008.
The game involves an unknown power called T-Energy that has been flowing through the kingdom of Ancaria since aeons. This mysterious power is the reason why life propagates and prospers in Ancaria. This power is the source behind the magic and thought flow in the kingdom. The noble Seraphim kept a watch over T-Energy and passed on their information to the High Elves. T-Energy thus helped the High Elves and their world to prosper making them the leaders of Ancaria. However, the High Elves quarreled amongst themselves on how to make use of T-Energy. Every party had its own views and slowly their disputes lead to irreconcilable differences between the High Elves. This resulted in a war and finally in the downfall of the High Elves.
Immediately, many other people came forward to seize the power and the control of T-Energy. Another Civil War erupted and during this the T-Energy went out of control. This positive power now changed into a negative force. Destruction reigned down on cities and towns and creatures were mutated into unrecognizable beings. People in the clerical ranks of the High Elves tried to seize power.
It is now up to the heroes to come and save the world before everything just disappears into oblivion.
To travel across the world of Ancaria, the player has to travel by a horse. Throughout Ancaria there are various horse dealers which offer different kinds of horses. You can also equip your horse with special armor. There is a special means of travel designed for every character in this game. In addition, each of the mounts (ways to get around) has different travelling speeds.
This version of the game is completely 3D unlike its previous version. It provides new weapons, monsters and new scenarios. The game is quite realistic because of the 3D effects and incredible animation work.
In addition, while playing the game the player can view his or her character’s strength.
