Rise of the Argonauts is an action game being developed by Liquid Entertainment and published by Codemasters. It is set for release on November 18, 2008. This game is being released for the PC, PS3 and the Xbox 360.
The storyline of the game is more like an epic movie as is quite common in the good video games being released these days. Jason, the King of Icolus was a happy man. He was powerful, rich, and well respected and was all set to marry a beautiful woman. But on the day of his wedding, his soon to be wife is murdered. This is where the game begins.
Jason swears that he will find her killers and bring her back to life. To do so, he has to find the Golden Fleece. So, together with one of the greatest Greek heroes, he sets out on a voyage to bring his fiancé back to life. The game is set in ancient Greece. Jason, Hercules, Atlanta, and an army of warriors set out on an epic quest.
The players accumulate powers and skills throughout the game. Their weapons and armor are so robust that the enemy will become helpless. Players have to interact with mythological Gods and the decisions they make will affect the course of the game. Players must keep the gods happy and not anger them.
Players can change their armies according to the mission. If certain warriors are not suitable for a particular mission, then they can be left out for the time being. These warriors are known as the Argonauts. Switching from one weapon to another is easy for the players and they can inflict horrifying attacks on the enemy. They can even sever heads and other parts of the body. Therefore, with an army of loyal Argonauts and deadly weapons, Jason’s all set to win.
The enemies are deadly monsters and other fearsome characters. The players are supposed to survive their attacks and put an end to them.
