Review of Rainbow Six Vegas for XBox
I finally got around to picking up Rainbow Six Vegas over the weekend. As usual XBox and Tom Clancy deliver when it comes to one of the most realistic tactical shooting games.
As the game itself states “Sin City is about to get a wake-up call. Las Vegas. The entertainment capital of the world. Thousands of unsuspecting tourists visit each day. Thousands more call it home. But on this day, something has gone terribly wrong. The Strip has become a battleground. Fremont Street is no longer safe. And casinos are being blown up one by one. On this day, Rainbow Six is the city’s last hope. ”
Rated by IGN.com as the Best of E3 2006 winner. Now I know why.
Now if you’ve played any of the other Rainbow Six games, then maybe you were already turned off from the franchise, but I tell you this one delivers.
In this game you are Logan Keller, the leader of a 3 man counterterrorist assault team. Terrorists end up attacking Las Vegas hitting hotels and casinos. Obviously it’s your job to put a stop to the madness.
If you’ve played Gears of War then you will enjoy this game as well. It may seem like some of the tactical scenes are familiar, perhaps a sense of deja vu, but that is not surprising since both games were in development at the same time.
So overall pluses:
Checkpoint save system
Your computer teammates actually function well on their own
Graphics are outstanding
Cool competetive modes
If you’ve ever been to Las Vegas, then you’ll know how realistic the graphics in this game truly are.
Excellent selection to add to XBox’s already rockin’ list of games.
If you’re a hard core gamer, then you need to check out my site Game-Testers.com. I’ll show you how you can play games for a living.
