Resistance Retribution is a 3rd person game being published by Sony Computer Entertainment and developed by Sony Bend. Sony Bend is known for developing extremely popular games. It is slated for a release some time in the second quarter of 2009. This game is developed for the PSP.
Up to 8 players can play the game at a time. This game is set some where in between the first two Resistance games. The game has been developed using a third generation Play Station engine. So obviously, this engine allows for more new and exciting features. The engine provides a new memory buffer system and enhanced resolution.
This game has various modes some of which are Capture the Flag, Assimilation, Team Death Match and Containment. There are more than ten types of enemies in this game that the player has to battle. Various new weapons have also been introduced in this game, which combine hybrid as well as strange new technologies. Some of the new weapons are LongBow & BM001 Razor.
In this game you will come across new villains such as Cloven and Hag as well as old ones such as Leapers, Titan, Hybrids, etc.
British Marine James Grayson is forced to kill his very own brother. Since the Chimeran conversion center is responsible for his brother’s death, James Grayson vows to destroy each and every conversion center. These conversion centers convert human beings to aliens. However, very soon James Grayson finds out that a new technique for conversion has been developed by the Chimera in Western Europe. So the Maquis along with Grayson wage a war save Europe.
Together with Parker and Cartwright in Operation Overstrike, James Grayson takes the center stage once again. In this adventurous game, the player will assume the role of James Grayson. James Grayson is in the pursuit of a virus, which is needed for the Chimera to work properly.
