Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is yet another video game that is based on the plot of the movie. The movie had a whacky plot where exhibits in the museum come alive at night, much to the chagrin of the new night guard appointed to guard the museum.
This game is a sub plot of the film where you play Larry and have to save the American cowboy and his gang who have been caught stealing the Magic Tablet. This tablet is the reason why all exhibits come to life at night. It is a magical tablet that gives unimaginable power to the person who possesses it. Needless to say, the Egyptian section of the museum is not amused by the attempt to steal it. However, it is up to Larry to save the day and restore peace and all this must be done before daybreak.
Now, the actual plot of the game is not as important as the humor that the developers have successfully injected into the plot.
