Neverwinter Nights 2 is a game published by Atari. The adventure pack Mysteries of Westgate is set for release on July 25th, 2008. It was developed by Obsidian Entertainment (Ossian Studios). The pack will be available for digital download for just $10 bucks. A very low price to pay for such a thrilling game. Some of the features of the game are 15 hours of game play, captivating background scores, a new story, a new set of monsters, etc.
The plot involves the players acquiring a treasure, which will only bring bad luck. The treasure is nothing but a mask that is cursed. So even if the mask is thrown away, it returns to the players. This mask is a symbol of the NightMasks of Westgate. Therefore, the controversy behind the mask draws the players towards the infamous city of WestGate. This city is home to the NightMasks, who are a group of thieves. Only the NightMasks can unearth the mystery behind the cursed mask and lift the curse off the players. The game involves wars between the various factions of Westgate and the player is supposed to take sides.
Obviously, there will be some moral choices that the players will have to make. Westgate was chosen as a location for this game because it is one of the most interesting places in the Forgotten Realms. Every nook and cranny of Westgate has some mystery hidden in itself. In addition, the atmosphere in the city is one of excitement and fear. Even the player has a feeling of uncertainty while he or she is in the city.
There are some new fierce creatures introduced in this adventure pack to provide some exciting twists and turns to the game. One such monster is Quelzam, who is an enormous sea serpent. The harbor waters of Westgate thrive with these beasts and often these ferocious creatures snatch sailors from the ships. Not only are these serpents present in the seawaters, they also live underground in the sewers. The player will definitely come face to face with them, as he will definitely be making frequent trips to the sewers. The developers of the game are sure that Neverwinter Nights 2: Mysteries of Westgate is going to rock the gaming world.
