Guitar Hero III & Rock Band Revealed

Unveiled at the “E for All” convention this past weekend, both Guitar Hero III & Rock Band impressed gamers.

I know many gamers who love this genre of games.  Getting an opportunity to feel like you too are a rock star.  Who wouldn’t want a chance to become Jimmy Hendrix or Eric Clapton in the comfort of their own home?

The Guitar Hero franchise has been quite successful since its launch in the latter part of 2005.  Then followed up by yet another success with its sequel in 2006.

Now Harmonix (the developers behind Guitar Hero) have teamed up with EA (Electronic Arts) to create “Rock Band”.

They key difference between these two games is that Rock Band will actually allow the gamer to play a multitude of instruments including the guitar and drums.  You can also be the lead singer.  You can play this alone or with friends online forming your own “Rock Band”.

With the popularity of online gaming at one of its highest peaks yet, this is the perfect opportunity for EA to reach out to the rock lovers of the gaming world.

Gamers who were at the convention are very excited about both releases.

Rock Band is expected to be released around Thanksgiving.  Guitar Hero III is set to be released also around the holidays but no specific release date has yet to be published.

If you’re a hard core gamer, you need to get a job testing games.  You could have been one of the chosen few to test both of the games above had you joined my site Game-Testers.com.
