Golden Axe: Beast Rider is an action game being developed by Secret Level and published by SEGA. It is set to be released on October 14, 2008 for the XBox 360 & PS3. It is a fantasy game where magic comes to life.

In this game, the player is a part of a band called the Riders who take on the enemy. The player is supposed to make allies and prevent the enemy from destroying his breed.

The combat is powerful with the player battling the enemy while riding on ferocious creatures. You will have amazing skills with which to combat your enemies and are also bestowed with magical powers to defeat them. Mounted combat is a unique experience, since the beasts also help in attacking the enemy. They can kick and bite your enemies. You can summon the beast when & where you want it come to. There are five kinds of beasts in the game in non-armored and armored varieties. Your beast can get stolen too, so keep your eyes open.

One of the beasts is the Abrax, which is a small dragon who uses its large clubbed tail to knock down enemies. It also does the usual dragon things such as breathe out fire balls. Another one is the Krommath, which stomps enemies to death and can throw enemies in the air.

There are different kinds of gnomes in this game as well. They are the magic, health, loot and kamikaze gnomes. The gnomes were in the original game as well. The loot gnome gives you money to spend on weapons and armor.

Swords can also be used during the game play. Heads and limbs can be cut off using the sword. Tearing apart enemies is also an option while wielding the sword. This game has some elements similar to the original game. It is a single player game and the player can choose among any of the three characters for himself.
