Ghostbusters

Do you hear strange voices in the middle of the night? Do you think that there’s something fishy going on in the basement? Then call the Ghostbusters. Ghostbusters: The video game is being developed by Terminal Reality and published by Vivendi Universal Games. It is slated for release on 10/31/2008. What better a date then Halloween to release it!

It is a single player game. The game is obviously based on the movie Ghostbusters which starred Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd. The script for this video game has been written by Ramis and Aykroyd. This game is simply great for people who love the original Ghostbusters movie.

Battle supernatural characters, such as Slimer, Vigo the Carpathian and the Stay–Puft Marshmallow man. The tag line of this game is “Busti’n makes you feel good”. There are a plethora of weapons for the player to choose from and a lot of handy gadgets. Your mission is to rescue New York City from the ghosts. The player will be a part of the Ghostbuster’s team and will be combating the ghosts with proton steams. Just remember to go a little bit easy on the steam. The other members of the team will be controlled by artificial intelligence.

Your team mates will help you regain your strength if you lose some of it and also help you capture the ghosts by setting traps. They also warn you about impending attacks. The ghosts on the other hand smash up stuff, infuse chaos, slam doors, appear out of nowhere to frighten people, etc.

Now to capture a ghost you have to train the proton beam on him until he starts to turn into nothing but smoke. If you are successful at capturing the ghosts you will earn money. This money can be put to good use by buying proton packs, slime beams, colliders, etc. This game will be released for the XBox 360, PS3, and the PC. Also a slightly different version will be released for the DS and Wii.
