Become A Video Game Tester

For all of you Gears of War fanatics out there, something else to look forward to by the summer of 2009.  Of course we hope sooner.

So the word is that New Line Cinema, will create the movie version of Gears of War.  The guy writing the script for the film will be the same guy that wrote scripts for Collateral and Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Peral.  So I have a feeling, the movie will be a success.

The films Exec Producer is going to be the lead game designer for Gears of War.  How exciting is that!  You design a game and the next thing you know you’re producing a movie.

I’m sure that writing scripts based on major games is something that is done on a daily basis, but it’s nice to see when it finally comes to fruition.  Gears is a kick ass game and it deserves to be on the big screen.  I for one cannot say enough about how excited I am.  Of course, we’ll have to see which actors will be in the movie, but with the game designer making all the major plays, I gotta hope that he’ll know exactly who to hire for the big parts in the film.
