Empire Total War is set for release in February 2009.
This game is set in the 18th century world. The game is a sequel to the Total War series. It is a strategy game, which combines turn-based strategy with real time tactics.
In this game, a player has to select a faction and move to create an empire. You have to ensure that your faction dominates the known world. Each faction can control various historical provinces. The player can use armies to conquer and defend provinces or else you can adopt politics and diplomacy to defend your province and make advances in this game. There are many new factions with USA being the biggest addition. In this multi-player game, there are approximately 50 18th century factions. These include Great Britain, Spain, and Prussia.
Each faction will vary in strengths, territory and specialities. Empire – Total Wars introduces a plethora of new features such as 3D naval combat. With this game, you can dominate the 18th century on sea and land, control the land, command the seas, forge a new country and of course conquer the globe.
Empire: Total War focuses on exploration, diplomacy, founding of colonies, economics and ultimately conquest. Empire:Total War beautifully captures the 18th century age, a time of military advancements, political upheaval and radical thoughts. Graphics are stunning a visual treat for game enthusiasts. The graphics feature dynamic weather, new advanced landscapes and a staggering real-time seascape.
There are 2 areas of game play. A turn based campaign mode that will allow you to move your armies and navy across the globe. The game also has a real time battle mode where you are able to direct the course of any battle that takes place.
In Empire: Total War, you are allowed to intuitively command vast fleets or single ships upon seascapes that contain extraordinary visual effects. Weather effects in this game are spectacular and they play a very important role in your defeat or glorious success. You can fire upon your enemy with cannon balls or close in and grab their ship so you can prepare to board.
The campaign map in this game will see a variety of upgraded and new elements such as new system for trade, espionage and diplomacy with agents, a streamlined and refined user interface.
This game will surely be one of the biggest war game ever made.
