Demigod has been developed by Gas Powered Games and is being published by Stardock. Demigod is all set to be released on April 14, 2009 exclusively for the PC.
Demigod is a team based action game which combines Real Time Strategy elements with Role Playing Game elements to come up with its own unique genre.
The most startling feature of Demigod is that you need very little time to get hang of this game. The learning curve is very limited and it is very easy to understand the basics of the game. Unlike other games, you do not need to memorize the right set of characters to unleash at the right time to win. You can win even if you make mistakes provided you are prepared to simply bulldoze your way through your enemies. You get to choose from different Demigods having different skills. It is not possible to say which Demigod is the best of them all. It all depends on how well you handle your character.
In this game, you take charge of a Demigod and your job is to prevent the Demigod belonging to your opponent (human or AI as you wish) from dominating your position. You better hit the opponent hard before he does the same to you.
As you progress in the game, you will acquire items, attributes, skills and experience and this will increase the potency of your attack. If you lag behind, your opponent’s Demigod will improve and you will be on the receiving end. You get points in the form of gold for hitting your enemy, capturing flags and other various achievements. You can use the gold to purchase upgrades. These upgrades will help you improve your defenses and enhance your citadel. You can then opt for upgrades for your entire team.
This game can be played solo but the real fun happens when you and your friends team up to defeat the AI Demigod.
The visuals and graphics of this game are truly stunning. You are never allowed to forget that you are a Demigod and are taking on another Demigod. The action sequences are really earth shattering and will leave you awestruck.
