Available for the Wii, XBox 360 and wireless, this game has a very simple plot. A local mall is being taken over by an army of undead zombies. You are a photojournalist and your job is to destroy the zombies.
Motion control happens to be the most exciting feature of any Wii game. In the case of action games like Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop, the motion control can either make the game or mar it beyond repair.
Thankfully, the combination of killing the undead zombies using motion control is a very enjoyable experience. This is beyond any doubt, the most engaging aspect of the game. You can make use of practically any and every object to target the zombies. You can use aluminum bats and even wooden benches to hit the zombies. Just as you would find it easier to swing a bat as compared to a wooden bench in real life, you can handle the bats with a lot more comfort in the game. This game is not all about striking the zombies. You can also make use of guns and other firearms to destroy them. An improvement over the previous edition is the number of firearms that you can use. You can use four firearms. You also have the reliable shotgun to halt all the zombies in their tracks.
This game contains two new enemies- a flying zombie parrot and a zombie poodle. The two look very ridiculous and harmless. However, they can cause a lot of damage in a very short period of time.
This Wii edition does not contain as many guns as the Xbox version. The plot has not been altered and is pretty much the same as the previous. The developers are counting on the novelty of playing this game on a Wii to make it a success. The motion controls and the utilization of the Resident Evil engine contribute to the overall quality of the game. The visuals are pretty good, just as one would expect in a game with the walking undead.
