C.O.R.E
C.O.R.E has been developed by NoWay Studio and is being published by Graffiti Entertainment. C.O.R.E is all set to be released on April 14th, 2009 exclusively for the DS.
You play C.O.R.E as Jason Crane, a military guy who is given the job of finding out why C.O.R.E, a top secret underground facility studying a meteorite crash, has stopped communicating with the outside world.
Once inside, you have to go fifteen levels down to reach the truth. Needless to say, there are many creatures and things which you have to blast and destroy before you can reach the heart of the problem. You have eight weapons to choose from and they are more than adequate to ensure you achieve your goal without any difficulty. Of course, the alternate firing mode and zoom mode are very much present in your weapons to help you pulverize your opposition.
There are more than 20 types of enemies out to get you and they can pack a powerful punch. Hence, it pays to be on top of your game when tackling the creatures that have infested C.O.R.E.
You get to know what went wrong at computer stations and check points. However, it pays to snoop through electronic diaries that belonged to others to know more about what went wrong. It will also help you find access codes that are very essential for your progress in the game.
As you go deeper, you find that progressing ahead requires quick action combined with shrewd thinking.
Just as in all FPS games, you cannot avoid interaction with your environment. You will have to throw switches, use access cards, drive vehicles and operate tools to proceed in the game.
This game also offers the multiplayer option where a total of four players can play Death Match mode, Team Arena mode and Capture the Flag mode. You do not need to switch cards to play the multiplayer mode and the popular modes are well designed and you will definitely feel satisfied after a good multiplayer session with your friends.
