Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled has been developed & published by Graffiti Entertainment. Black Sigil is all set to be released on April 14th, 2009 exclusively for the DS.
Black Sigil takes you to a world where every single person has the power of magic. You are told that there was once a person who could not do magic and he caused a lot of havoc and destruction until he was banished fifteen years ago. This bit of information is useful because you are a person who does not have the ability to do magic. This makes all those around you hate you and vilify you as a demon. The only exceptions are the members of your abandoned family including your magical sister. Together you form a team with other individuals and start your quest.
This is a 2-D game which will definitely attract those who go mushy and nostalgic about the good old RPG’s. The music and the visuals too belong to the 2D generation. Once you get used to this, you will find that the game is not as bad as you thought. There is no rigid method of proceeding in the game. You simply have to wander around, explore caves and dungeons, pick up treasures and meet people who may or may not point out your future direction.
Of course, you will need money to purchase your sword, which is your favorite weapon and you will have to perform chores around your house until you have enough to purchase the essentials required for your travel.
Your fighting skills are essential for your survival. You can combine with your 3 member team to create more than a 100 different combos. You take turns fighting and have to make your turn count if you want your team to survive. Further, there are 100 different weapons and more than 200 pieces of armor which will help you take on your enemies. However, this is not a mindless fighting game and there are more than enough plot twists to keep you engaged till the very end.
