Alpha Protocol is a must play for lovers of action and adventure. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Sega, it revolves around the exciting adventures of a CIA Agent, Michael Thornton. It is all set to be available for gamers on October 6th 2009 and can be played on a variety of platforms including the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Michael Thornton has an important mission to handle which goes astray and he is hunted down by the government of United States. Cut off by all of his contacts and feeling betrayed by everyone, Thornton decides to uncover the controversy using a special device called ‘Alpha Protocol’, a device usually reserved for senior CIA members.

The game is played in third person allowing the player the opportunity to witness Michael Thornton and his surroundings. Thornton has spy gadgets, and numerous firearms from his previous career. On top of that there are advanced points in the game which allow Thornton to use some new weapons and gain different abilities.

The gamers choose a point they want and learn different skills, which drastically change the outcome of the game. Since the conversations happen in real time the players have to be wise and should possess the ability to make quick important decisions.

Michael has the advantage of lying low in ‘safe houses’ in each of his hub cities. The safe house enable the player to change clothing, access telephone contacts, a weapons locker and even attempt or organize missions. Some missions are optional while others are important for the game to progress. Key equipment and weapons can be bought and sold at the ‘safe houses’. Rome, Saudi Arabia, Taipei and Moscow are some of the hub cities.
