The Afro Samurai game will be released in 2009.
The game has been developed in Japan and is sure to surpass all your expectations. The game is set in futuristic Japan. It is a single player game. In this game you play the character of a samurai named Afro whose main objective is to avenge his father ’s murder. To win this game you have to slay ‘Justice’ who has killed your father. This is not an easy task as it is not possible to kill Justice by conventional means. Justice is the ‘Number One’ samurai who has mystical powers.
On your way during your mission, you have to deal with assassins, robotic thugs, and ninjas who are determined to hurt you. Ninjas are wandering miscreants who will give you a hard time in your journey. In this game, your character can leap from one location to another as well as interact with the overall gaming environment. These abilities will help you immensely in your journey.
The game will follow the original series (which I’m sure many are familiar with) but of course, it will include added background and material for the fans as well as for the new comers. Currently, the Afro Samurai game is under development for Xbox 360 and PS3. Afro Samurai is all set to release on Playstation 3 in Northern America. This game was supposed to release in 2008, but due to some unavoidable issues (my guess testing went on too long), it will be released on January 27, 2009.
This is truly an action packed adventurous game. Afro Samurai will have the voice of Samuel L. Jackson who I personally loved in Pulp Fiction (I guess you have some idea how old I am now!).
In all, the game has 5 episodes. It becomes tougher as you move to the higher levels. The game’s violence is M-rated and has plenty of bloodshed, beheadings and dismemberments. If you’re into blood and guts then you’ll love this one. Winning this game is not easy and requires great skill. Gaming enthusiasts can look forward to acrobatic, stylistic combat as Afro slices his enemies with ease.
