Gaming is a multi million dollar industry and vastly popular among people of all age groups. Video games can be highly motivating due to their interactive nature.

Many people have told you that gaming is only harmful to your health, but have you ever thought about video games being good for you?

Video games that deal with problem solving and puzzles can develop a child’s mental ability to analyze things more logically. In addition, they can become better team players, decision makers, and multi-taskers. Hand and eye coordination can be improved. Some video games such as ‘Dance Dance Revolution’ can help battle obesity, diabetes, and hypertension among kids. With so many overweight children in the world today, this is clearly something we need. Video games can help patients undergoing rehabilitation. For example; it can reduce pain in children undergoing chemotherapy. Video games can induce competitiveness among children who may normally shy away from that sort of behavior. This allows them to become more social.

Video games based on ancient history, geography or medical subjects can educate children and thus empower them with knowledge. They can increase alertness and focus among children and adults too. Some emotional elements in video games might spark creativity among children. With online gaming, you can make friends with other people who enjoy gaming too. Thus, video gaming can help in socializing an introverted child. I know that after a hard day’s work, a good gaming session can improve my mood and reduce my stress.

And that is why many gaming companies are offering lucrative wages to talented game testers, so that they can produce games that offer people healthy living. If you are looking at game testing as your career, then you have lots opportunities in this industry. You can sign up on my website Game-testers.com to find appropriate job for you, with hundreds of selections to choose from.

Video games have become a very influential aspect in today’s day and age. While many games are worshipped by addictive gamers, they are also criticized by people for changing the way our children are growing up. Video games these days tend to be more violent and studies have linked violent video games to aggressive behavior in kids.

Some even suggest that the unfortunate shootings that took place in some schools a few years back were a result of the influence of violent video games. I am not saying I agree with this, but many people do believe it to be true. Even if video game designers did not design them with these intentions, the change in the behavioral pattern of children and adolescents is not something you can ignore. However, video games are not always harmful. They have positive effects too.

Video games can help by boosting computer literacy among children. Video games designed specifically for sports can invoke a person’s interest in that particular sport and he or she might actually start playing that sport. Video games improve hand and eye coordination among children and older adults. Video games such as Dance Dance Revolution can help reduce obesity and the risk of diabetes. For rehabilitating elderly patients, video games can be used to increase their physical balance and alertness. In addition, playing video games might energize them. Patients with partial paralysis can also benefit from playing video games as their bodies and minds can be stimulated by the activity.

Playing video games involves analysis and estimation of the moves of your opponent, quick decision making and resource management, which are also skills needed in daily life. Therefore, gaming can equip your child with these skills and thus help him or her to deal with real life situations efficiently. In addition, fun video games can help children and adults, both alike, combat many mental disorders.

Some studies have also found out that surgeons who played video games were faster in during surgical procedures than others who did not. In addition, there are people who can make a career out of video games such as programmers & animators. Considering this, today’s game development companies are making efforts to produce games that can help children to learn about dealing with today’s society. These same companies are looking for talented game testers; I know there are a lot of opportunities awaiting you.

You are aware that games can be excellent stress busters. Now, these stress busters are also helping teachers to teach difficult subjects like calculus to their students. There are specially developed games for educational purposes. Most of these games are based on calculus and have a number of variations that briefly explains various laws and formulas.

About a year ago, a group called the “Teachers Evaluating Educational Multimedia” (Teem) performed a study on children playing games such as Sim City and Roller Coaster Tycoon. What they concluded from the study surprised everyone. Children playing social games such as the ones in the study were helped with developing strategic thinking and planning skills. This study was done on 700 children ages 7 to 16. Many of them preferred playing in a group atmosphere. You can read the full story here.

In the US, more than 45 million homes have game consoles. Many of them view games as an addiction that causes problems for the typical teenager and can cause violent behavioral changes, if you also have, the same opinion then should read this report. It could change your mind.

The trend for many developers seems to be focusing more and more on social networking. Since video games are a part of everyday life, it would make sense for everyone, including teachers, employers etc to start using them as well.

We clearly know that video games can help teach. Especially when it comes to something as difficult as Calculus. That being said, you would think it’s a given that we start getting these games into the classrooms.

The sad fact is that the whole video game genre has to clear several roadblocks in order to be accepted completely as an educational tool. One of the most important factors is of course, game development. The more educational games developed, the more it becomes the norm.

There are more developers out there than I can count. So that means there are a ton of opportunities for anyone who wants to become a game tester. It’s pretty easy to follow that dream too. It just takes some basic communication and computer skills for the most part to get started.

If you feel the way I do about gaming, then get on board and become part of the world of game testers. Just sign up on my site Game-Testers.com today and get on your way to finding the perfect job for you.

For many of us gamers, who have been around for quite some time we know how much things have changed since Atari.

I can only imagine what our parents have seen with regards to the changes to modern technology. Can you imagine what video games will be like 10 years from now? What about 20 years from now?

Take a look at say the original Pac-Man and compare that to Call of Duty 4. WOW, I mean you can’t even compare. Graphics, user compatibility, online action, etc. Gaming has changed so much just over the last 10 years; I can’t even begin to imagine where it will be in 10 more.

Now the naysayers have and will always argue that games are bad at some level. Violence, upsetting the kids, whatever. It’s not going to stop and will probably escalate to a point we’ve never seen yet. That’s scary too.

The good news is that these days, I’ve seen a lot of video games being used positively in helping those with mental and physical illnesses. Just the other night I watched something on the news about Nintendo donating a bunch of Wii consoles to a kids hospital.

With the expansions we’ve had on artificial intelligence and general technology, I hope that I am alive long enough to see how that translates into the latest and greatest video games out there.

Who would have thought a few years ago that Nintendo would come out with a console that would allow you to exercise? I mean really exercise? Calculate body mass, really work you out? I wouldn’t have thought of that. With all of the high tech applications out there today, it’s only going to get better.

All the big gaming developers are busy developing more sophisticated and more advanced versions of gaming consoles. If you have any doubt on the positive future of games, then take my word; it’s amazing and continuing to allow great opportunities for gamers who want to make a career in the gaming industry. In this highly competitive field, companies are in need of game testers (and other game related positions), who can test their games and make their companies and games more successful.

This article is not going to tell you to keep playing games nor will it suggest that playing games continuously is good for your health. Most video games have been labeled as violent for centuries, which is totally wrong. Other than just playing, there are many useful applications for video games. And these applications have been proven by years of study and research.

It’s a fact that, teenagers and children are likely to utilize most of their time sitting in front of game consoles and computers, playing games, which in turn supposedly affects their overall progress. It can bring about a negative change in areas such as education, mental abilities, and social abilities. Researchers call this a “behavioral change”, but they have always said that this is not only a situation that can be caused by playing video games. So here is my point, you might have read in a newspaper, on the internet, or even heard on the local news that video games are now being used in many schools as an educational tool to teach basic subjects like Calculus. Isn’t it good news for game developers? And maybe bad news for those who blame video games for negatively affecting their children.

Game developers are now concentrating more on developing games that can help the player actually learn something. As one good example look at Wii Fitness, developed by Nintendo. Although this is a game console just like any other, it includes 40 different exercise simulations, which can be performed on a unique platform provided with the console, known as the Wii Balance Board. It’s user friendly and will allow you to do yoga (amongst other things) in an effort to maintain your health. Wii’s Fitness console is also able to calculate a user’s body mass index, which helps the console to suggest the appropriate exercises. The player then collects points by doing the exercise that is instructed by the console.

Now let’s talk about other games. If we observer people’s trends then we will find that nowadays some people are leaning towards buying games with less violence and action. There is a specific reason for this and it is related to results obtained through yearlong research and development. Today’s games have proved helpful to kids as well as adults in an effort to stay completely fit both mentally and physically.

That is why these types of games are now in high demand, and hence game developing companies are looking for young gamers who can work as a game tester and can also suggest new ideas. If you have a new idea or want to get in on testing games sign up on my site Game-testers.com and receive an excellent opportunity to work as a game tester and be heard by the gaming community.

Gaming is now being recognized as a great stress buster by many medical communities across the US. If you have an unused gaming console instead of throwing it away, just try using it once. There is a large community called ‘Get-Well Gamers Foundation’ established by some enthusiastic gaming activists. They collect unused gaming consoles and give them to people who can use them for their own benefit.

For years, researchers have been studying how video games can be used in treatment of several diseases especially metal disorders. According to many doctors, skilful activity is very important when it comes to treating certain disorders in order to retain control of certain brain functions. Some research has ended with the conclusion that video games are really good stress busters that can enhance the treatment regime of any ill patient. Moreover, playing a video game also serves as a good tonic for people who suffer from asthma, phobias and cardiac diseases as these games considerably reduce their stress levels and keep their moods elevated.

Of course buying a new game console or a video game is not possible for everyone. This is specifically the concept for ‘Get-Well Gamer Foundation’. This community is spread across the country. At present this foundation passes on all the collected game consoles and portable games to different children’s hospital. Although many hospitals are well equipped with advanced treatment centers; these facilities sometimes lack in entertainment since children tend to get well soon with fair and positive entertainment. Here Get-Well Soon Foundation offers free video games to help them in their treatment.

If you carefully track down the gaming development, then you will find that today’s games as well as upcoming games are based on reality and require more skill. Playstation 3, Wii, X-Box 360 are classic examples of such vast development. With these gaming consoles, the purpose of a game gets served in a better way.

However, there is a wide scope of further development in this field. And many companies are encouraging youngsters to become a part of this development. These companies are now in serious need of fresh minds.

On Game-testers.com you can easily find various opportunities that can give you a chance to test and validate these hi tech games. Become a game tester, by simply clicking here.

How can a video game help to release the stress? It’s clear that games are being blamed for the past who knows how many years for giving rise to violent behavior especially in teenagers. But the fact is there are number of games that work as excellent stress busters. Obviously, the video game creator never intends to make human behavior more aggressive and violent. Whenever a game creator creates a game, the first and only one purpose is pure entertainment.

A lot of studies and research have been performed and are still being performed further to dig out positive factors found in games. Games are considered to be the most effective stress busters. There are also many professionals out there who believe that games like bookworm; arcade games like Tetris; and educational games help children suffering from mental illnesses to improve.

Apart from this, many games are mood-lifting which causes your stress to be reduced greatly in minutes. Recently, East Carolina University’s Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies performed a small research on some kids and on a group of people for stress levels after playing some “causal” video games. They found that in all cases, the result was intriguing and impressive. The head of this research Dr. Carmen Russoniello, reported that casual games can be used for therapeutic application in several stress related disorders. According to him light mood games were found helpful in treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The entire report was even more interesting. You can get this interesting study just click here.

And it’s a fact that; the gaming industry is booming at surprising speed. This industry is now in need of hundreds of game testers to test whether the game really can or cannot reduce stress levels.

Are you tired of hearing all the stories of how video games make people kill? What happened to the good old days of Crack kills or PCP kills. No more, not in this day and age. Now it's all about how to squash some of the games we love so much.

It just really tweaks me when I see anything anywhere spewing out of the mouths of anti-gamers.

I just read an article about Danny Ledonne. In case you don’t know who he is, he’s the guy that created the RPG game Super Columbine Massacre. Now if we agree or disagree with his thoughts, feelings that’s fine. We’re all entitled to that. But to say that a person playing a video game will then turn around and kill someone SIMPLY because of a video game is absolutely ludicrous.

If you want to get fired up, then read the full article here:
Ledonne News Article

In this particular case with Ledonne, he has been blamed for the attach by Kimveer Gill on Sept 13 2006 at Dawson College in Canada. Now why was and is he being blamed? Because the killer played his game. Ok so if I smoke a Marlboro cigarette and go kill someone is Marlboro to blame? No, so why should a video game be to blame for a murderer. Quite honestly regardless of what games he played, cigarettes he smoked, alcohol he consumed he would be a killer.

I think it would benefit everyone including the anti-game activists to start looking into why a person kills. What happens to their brains that causes them to just lose it? I know that this is something we already research so I just find it so hard to believe that any sane person could outright blame a video game for the various mental illnesses of our species.

Start looking at the world around us, find a way to fix that.

Any gamer loves reading about the positive benefits of playing video games. This article is the PERFECT example of how a video game can help any child overcome the pain of blood sugar tests.

I can’t say enough how excited I get when I read articles relating to the many ways video games can help all of us. Well now there is this great article I read about a game that’s helping kids get thru the multiple pin pricks per day to check their blood sugar.

Diabetes in children is something all of us have to deal with here in the US. It’s also something that other countries including Australia have to deal with.

A father of a diabetic child came up with a really cool idea. He decided to create a video game that would reward kids for checking their blood sugar levels. Anyone familiar with diabetes will know that you have to prick your finger as many as 8 times per day depending on the severity of your diabetes. Can you imagine how difficult that must be for a child?

So the way this game works is basically a kid who regularly checks their blood sugar as required will get extra points and the ability to unlock secret characters and levels within the game. You can read more about the game here:
Video Game Helps Diabetic Kids

This is just ONE of the many ways that using video games in our every day lives can help anyone.

Stop Blaming Video Games

Are you a hard core gamer who is just as tired as I am of parents blaming video games for all their children's problems? Well then read about how and why we should get it to stop now!

Not a day goes by that I don’t read about some parent group or religious congregation talking smack about video games and their negative results on society. Honestly I’m just tired of it.

I remember back in the day when rap groups were being attacked for their violent & explicit lyrics. Well now the focus is and has been video games for over 20 years now. Don’t get me wrong, society may still blame rap music, TV shows, movies for all the things that go wrong in the world, but video games has been bumped right up into that field of “menace to society”.

Here is the bottom line, if a person cannot tell the difference between a video game, movie or TV and reality, then they have an issue. And one that needs to be addressed immediately. Regardless of what this very person might watch or play, they will never comprehend the difference between fiction and fact, reality and fantasy. That is the sad truth.

We need to start looking at the other factors that play a huge part in what a person becomes. Mainly family and how a person is raised. I know for a fact that my children (when they are old enough) will be allowed to play video games because I am raising them to be good individuals who make a difference in society and not menacing, violent people.

Parents, churches, all of the people that point blame at video games, need to face up to the fact of their involvement in the problem. Stop pointing the finger at something that is an easy scapegoat and take responsibility for your own actions.

We can also blame those poor mostly insane individuals that see certain things taking place in games or movies and think it’s ok to do it for real, but again where is the family helping this kid to discern between reality and fantasy? How did he/she get to be this way?

It’s time to for our entire society to take responsibility for what goes on around them. We are the only people who can make a difference. No video game or movie is ever going to fix that or create problems for us. We do it. Society does it. So let society step in and fix it.
