Become A Video Game Tester

Everyone looks for the high paying gigs and then when they can’t find them they accuse me and others of lying about how much you can really make testing games.

So many gamers want to get a game testing job and then they find they have no experience and can’t get selected for some of the prime positions because of this.  Well this information is just for you.

Are you into games like World of Warcraft?  Do you love the Massive Multiplayer Online type games that are out there today?  Have you played Diablo II, StarCraft or Everquest?

Ok so you’ve gotten some experience in testing.  Whether it be unpaid volunteer testing or paid entry level testing.  So now you’re probably thinking what’s next?  That’s a simple answer.  The next step is moving up into the higher paying game testing positions and they are out there.

Established in 2003 by Gerard Guillemot (a co-founder of Ubisoft), Longtail Studios is a growing developer with several offices located in NYC and Quebec City.

Disney Interactive Studios is looking for full-time, temporary Quality Assurance Testers for its offices based in Glendale, CA. As a tester, you will have first hand experience testing new titles from our studio. We test on current gaming platforms, including Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3. Our testers perform a wide range of tasks including both functional and Certification testing (First Party Standards).

I know that the majority of the time, game jobs seem to be centralized around the West Coast.  But honestly there are game jobs all over the US and Canada.
