Wii Review
So I was talking to a fellow gamer and was so excited about being able to download the old Legend of Zelda and Mario Brothers games that she used to play back in the day, just one of the cool features of the new Wii. I’m hearing a ton of awesome reviews for the new Nintendo system.
Let’s start off by saying it’s incredibly affordable. Almost theft really if you compare it to the cost of the PS3. I’m not gonna get into graphics because honestly I’ve heard the Wii simply doesn’t compare to Xbox or PS3 in that area. But again, it’s cheap and you get what you pay for these days…
What I have heard is that the system is incredibly fun to play. When you purchase the system, you are given everything you need to get started. The system already comes with 512MB of internal memory, so you don’t have to buy a “memory card” just to start playing. That’s a definate plus.
I’ve also heard that the connection process is pretty easy including connecting to the network. Not that I am one to have problems with setting up a console or connecting it to the net, but some people do, so this is just another positive point for the Wii.
So on to what is most important, is it fun? I’ve heard time & time again (through reviews and other gamers) that the controller can’t be beat for playability. It works best for any type of sports games such as golf, baseball, tennis, etc. Don’t worry about all those pictures or videos you’ve seen on the net about accidents with the controller, just wear the band man and keep your TV screen in tact!
It’s apparant that even though Nintendo gave this system a very strange name, fans of the company have flocked to get the system and seem to enjoy it. I can’t say it’s going to be one of the top selling consoles, but it’s something for Nintendo lovers to get into.
