Court Rules… “Video Games Do Not Encourage Violence”

I recently posted an article on how unfair I thought it was that everyone blames the violence in today’s world on video games.  Well finally the US Courts agree that video games are not to blame.

I just read an article I found on MSN news stating just that.  To see the full article CLICK HERE.

Can you believe that the state of Louisiana passed a law the banned violent video game sales to anyone under 18?  What is this world coming to that a state will actually pass such a law?  Well it was passed but luckily it was challenged almost immediately.

Some psycholawyer who has been a gigantic sore in the gaming world brought about the law.  It also says that he has gone after rappers.  Go figure.

Judge James Brady called the law “unconstitutional”.  He stated “that any connection between video game and real-world violence was tenuous and speculative at best.”

When are people going to realize that the gaming companies and designers are just putting the games out there that people want to play?  There are already a ton of titles for little kids.  Why not let the “big kids” have some fun too.  Trust us, we are old enough to understand that it is “just a game” and not reality.  Last time I checked, there wasn’t some guy outside my house beating up his hoes, while some other dude jumps out of his car with a machete.

So let’s just leave the gaming to the gamers and keep all the politics out of it.  Last time I checked we did live in the USA.

If you’re a hard core gamer, then you need to check out my site Game-Testers.com.  You’ll find out everything there is to know about getting paid for gaming.
