Become A Video Game Tester

Nelson Staffing Solutions is a staffing agency which was founded back in 1970.  They current work with many of the major gaming companies to fill positions for testers of all kinds.

Ah the two just don’t seem to fit together but you heard it right.  The US Army is sponsoring a video game tournament in Chandler Arizona.  Fascinating.  Apparently this has been going on for years, but what do I know?

THQ is looking for a test supervisor to work in either CA or AZ.  This is one of the higher up jobs you can get in testing.  You will actually manage the test leads and testers and help execute the departments vision.

With Christmas fast approaching, anyone who knows a gamer will have an easy time searching for a gift for them this year.  With so many great games to choose from, I’ve put together my top picks in no particular order.

I received an email from the HR Manager over at Disney Interactive Studios. They are looking to fill 100 tester positions ASAP. I had no doubts whatsoever that I could help, so I accepted their request to get their ad posted.

I’ve always wondered what was behind some of those reviews on new video games.  Some could talk about how great the game was, but then I would play it and absolutely hate it.  I would disagree with just about everything that the reviewer posted on the game.  I found it hard to believe being a gamer that two opinions of the same game could be so different.

Many gamers always think about the “major” big name gaming companies. But there are so many smaller studios out there looking for good help at any given time. 38 Studios is just one of those companies.

Take-Two Interactive has it’s main base located in NYC, NY.  With subsidiaries such as Rockstar Games, and 2K Sports (among others), they are always looking for testers.

Wow does time fly!  I remember talking about last years awards and now here we are in 2007 approaching 2008 and yet another Video Game Awards is set to air.

Oh those media watchdog groups.  So many groups, so little time.  The National Institute on Media and Family just posted it’s 12th annual video game report card labeling the top games that should not be played by anyone under the age of 17.  These are the “M” rated games.
